Hello Forest lovers!
In today’s post we have a great DIY idea for you and your child. This self-made playdough is quick, sustainable and inexpensive at the same time!
All you need to start:
- A large bowl & a hand mixer
- 400g flour
- 200g salt
- 2 tablespoons citric acid or 2 teaspoons tartaric acid
- 500ml boiling water
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- Food coloring
Once you have all the ingredients together, you can start straight away. Simply put all the ingredients into a large bowl and mix well with a hand mixer. The only thing you need to make sure is that you use hot boiling water. Other than that, there is no particular order needed. Then knead the mass with your hands to a smooth dough (Just as you would do with cookie dough ☺)
After your mass is ready you can immediately start coloring the dough. Make sure you use liquid color instead of powder, as it is very difficult to color the dough with it. DONE! Now you can start kneading together!
Tip: If you pack the dough airtight cling film, it lasts about half a year. Have fun ☺
